Geico's Caveman

     The mascot of Geico, an insurance, is a caveman.  He is a symbol, which implements the slogan of Geico : "so easy, a caveman could do it !"...

So, in first, we see a video in which there are the best of Caveman ads, and we had to answer at these questions :

1- Talking about the genre / Say what all these videos have in common :

These videos are all ads in which a Caveman is shocked by the slogan of Geico.

2- What is the catchphrase of this video :

The slogan is : " So easy, a caveman could do it ! "

3- What is it that makes this main character upset ( or feel angry ) ?

That makes the caveman upset because the catchphrase is offensive for him. Geico shows him like an idiot.

 4- Tell us more about Geico and this series of advertisements by looking at the text :

Geico is an US insurance company, which has layered on a rich and entertaining storyline with the cavemen. Geico is unique because this series of ads were aggressivly launched these campaingns at the same time.The cavemen have been honored by the Madison Avenue Advertising Walk of Fame.


Then, we have to present a summary of one ad among the others ...

--> I chose this in which cavemen are in motorcycles.

In this video, we can see two cavemen who are getting off their motorbikes. They approache of two splendid girls, impressed by the bikers ( they don't pay attention at their very pronounced facial feature ). They walk like Alain Delon, with charm and class .. But, suddently, one of these cavemen turns his head left and sees an ad, which says : "Saving money on motorcycle insurance. Easy ...". in this advert, there is a ridiculous caricature of a caveman. The heros, disappointed, turn around and get on their bikes., without talking to the girls.

Why did the Cavemen have this reaction ?

In my opinion, the heros felt like idiots. Indeed, they were pround to have beautiful motorbikes, they approached to beautiful girls with charm and saw a stupid ad which laughed at them ! In addition the ad talked about the motorbikes insurance, with the famous slogan, so the cavemen are stupid but arrive to buy a insurance for their bikes ! It is not cool for them !
